Spesifikasi Canon EOS 500D | Kamera DSLR Murah Video HD, Canon EOS 500D merupakan salah satu kamera DSLR yang mana lanjutan dari generasi Canon EOS 450D. Pada awalnya memang Kamera DSLR belum memiliki fiture Perekaman Video HD. Kemudian Canon EOS 5D Mark II memulainya untuk memasukan fitur Video HD kedalam Sebuah kamera DSLR namun sebelumnya yang mengawali munculnya fitur Video HD adalah Nikon D90 yang menjadi pelopor sesuatu yang belum terfikirkan untuk memasukan fitur Video HD kedalam sebuah kamera DSLR. Memang untuk kamera dengan kelas High End atau kelas atas kebanyakan saat ini sudah dilengkapi dengan fitur Video HD. Nah Canon EOS 500D ini adalah kamera low entry level pertama kali yang mengunakan fitur video HD yang disematkan untuk mengembangkan generasi awalnya canon EOS 450D yang belum ada fitur Video HDnya. Tentu saja kehadiran EOS 500D baru ini membawa angin segar dalam dunia fotografi digital, karena telah memulai babak baru DSLR entry level dengan fitur movie. Saya bisa memahami kendala yang dihadapi oleh Canon sehingga tidak banyak peningkatan yang dilakukan (selain dari resolusi yang naik dari 12 MP ke 15 MP) dari 450D ke 500D, karena memang sulit untuk memperbaiki sesuatu yang sudah baik.

Sepintas dari tampilan memang tidak nampak ada yang berbeda antara 500D dengan pendahulunya 450D dengan bodi berbahan plastik berwarna hitam (namun memakai rangka baja stainless), bahkan dari spesifikasi mendasar pun hampir tidak banyak perubahan berarti. Masih mengusung 9 titik AF, kamera bersensor CMOS ini punya resolusi 15 MP atau persis sama seperti EOS 50D, sang pemain kelas menengah/semi-pro yang berbalut bahan magnesium alloy.
